A WTA TOUR tournament BNP Paribas Katowice Open with prize of 235 000 USD will be held in the legendary Spodek in Katowice from 8th to 14th April. The tournament is the biggest tennis event of the year 2013. 2 Conipur Pro Clay courts will be built on the main arena of Spodek. The official tournament ball is Babolat Roland Garros’. All guests who will visit Katowice will have an amazing chance to see more than 64 players in 59 singles and 15 double matches.

The organizer of the tournament is SOS Music company from Toruń, which has obtained the license from Octagon sport agency to organize the tournament up to 2018. The tournament in Katowice replaces the event which has been taking place in Copenhagen for 3 years. The matches will be broadcast by TVP.
