World No. 8 Karen” khachanov>, 24th-ranked Guido Pella and flashy Australian Nick Kyrgios have all signed up to play Vienna, per Michal Samulski. Three-time Vienna finalist Jo Wilfried Tsonga and 2008 Vienna runner-up Gael Monfils will also be taking part at the Austrian ATP 500 event.
The Vienna organizers have also secured the services of rising Canadian stars Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov. Meanwhile, 2018 semifinalist Mikhail Kukushkin will be aiming to put on another great week in Vienna from October 21-27.
Khachanov, who is enjoying a career-high ranking, will be targeting to make a splash in his fourth Vienna appearance. Tsonga had a dream Vienna debut in 2011 as he won it all before finishing back-to-back runner-up at the tournament in 2016 and 2017.
Kyrgios, 24, and 20-year-old Shapovalov are set for a Vienna debut. Meanwnile, Pella and Auger-Aliassime will be hoping to perform better in their second Vienna appearance. Pella suffered a first round loss in Vienna two years ago, while Auger-Aliassime picked up a first round exit at the tournament last year.
The Vienna event is set for a strong player field as Dominic Thiem, Kei Nishikori, Daniil Medvedev and Pablo Carreno Busta are also expected to play.
